Mexico's Televisa Monterrey TV host Jose Luis Cerda's body  was found dumped on the side of the road on Friday morning, local media reported.

Jose Luis Cerda Melendez, known as La Gata, was found dead with his hands tied and several gunshot wounds at the Monterrey suburb of Guadalupe, according to the El Universal newspaper.

Cerda  was kidnapped by several armed men just blocks away from the television studios. Three hooded men forced him out of his car as he was leaving work, according to reports.

The Televisa Monterrey studios were previously attacked with grenades.

Several months ago, Carlos Alberto Guajardo-Romero, a reporter with the El Expreso newspaper, was killed in the big shootout in Matamoros.
